Fabrication of gelatin nanofiber webs via centrifugal spinning for N95 respiratory filters

Due to the impact of Covid-19 pandemic, usage numerous protective face masks has faced an explosion in demand around world. Therefore, need reduce environmental pollution caused by disposable single-use become vital. Recently, alternative raw material solutions have been discussed eliminate consumption plastics. Within this research, gelatin nanofibers were fabricated via centrifugal spinning technique, and filtration media investigated terms air permeability efficiency. In addition, morphological properties examined with scanning electron microscopy. Fabricated fibers a changing average diameter range from 232 778 nm, targeted 95% efficiency was achieved several compositions. It proven that biodegradable could be sustainable for N95 respiratory filters.
